What is a Nova Vault?

When you create a portfolio, there are many steps that take place as your funds are correctly allocated and investment algorithms applied. In order to save you time and prevent you from having to approve each instruction, we utilize your Nova Vault.

Your Nova Vault operates as a separate wallet, and is set up to automatically take care of the deposit process for you. It's also a safety net in case there is an error while withdrawing your funds from your portfolios. If this happens, your assets will be placed into your Nova Vault, where you can retrieve them manually by clicking on "Withdraw".

You can manage your account by simply clicking on the "My Vault" menu.

Important: This is a non-custodial account, and we do not have access to it.

Some guidelines:

  • Do not share the secret phrase and private key of your Nova Account. Note them down and keep it safe

  • Do not place additional funds in this account, other than those needed to run transaction on Nova

  • When an operation has been completed such as a deposit, you are free to withdraw excess funds. However, you may be required to re-deposit SOL if you want to deposit in further portfolios or exit in order to pay for gas fees. We recommend to always leave 0.2 SOL in your Nova Vault

Setting up your Nova Vault

When you initiate your first transaction, you will be guided through the set up of your Nova Vault. You will be given a 12 word secret phrase, and a private key, that you will need to recover/log back into your Nova Vault.

In order to create a Nova Vault, you will need to be connected to Nova via a web3 wallet. Once your Nova Vault is created, it will be linked to the wallet you had connected at the time of creation. This means that, if you decide to connect a different wallet, you will not find your usual Nova Vault. But do not worry! If you do not wish to create a new Nova Vault, you can manually reconnect/recover your original Vault.

You will need your Nova Vault private key or secret phrase in order to do so. For this reason, it is paramount that you save these details somewhere safe, when you first create your Nova Vault.

Important: Remember to save your private key and secret phrase somewhere safe! This is a non-custodial vault, we do not have access to it, and therefore we cannot recover them for you.

Recovering your Nova Vault when switching wallets

If you have exited your Nova Vault, or want to switch the wallet linked to your Nova Vault, you can recover it using the secret phrase or private key provided at the time of setting up.

From the top right of your screen, click on "My Account", then on "Recover using private key" or "Recover using Secret phrase".

When prompted, enter your details, then select "Done".

Important: Remember to save your secret phrase and private key, and keep them safe! This is a non-custodial Vault, we do not have access to it, therefore we cannot recover them for you.
